Dr Yates. Amazing insight! You are correct. Our carbon exterior will wither away and we will leave our lives and families. All that will be left is the legacy we leave. Your son will remember your commitment to attending his games and the lessons he learned from you. In the end he will pass those on to his children. Thank you for writing this. I needed to read this.

I think there was a song in the ‘90’s - Closing Time - that said, “every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.” Cheesy as it may be, the writing here speaks volumes. And it’s not just how we look at our families or workplace personally, but how we integrate the five stages of team development. The last stage is normally accepted as “adjourning“ or some sense of that word. Leaders need to teach their people how to separate well to move on to the next new beginning where their impact will create legacy for a whole other group of people! Thank you for writing this!

Great job. You can't win them all. It's not healthy to win every time. You'll never grow from that. Hard lesson to learn but it pays off.
